Trapani salt is an integral and tasty salt that has been harvested for millennia. It is widely known in Italy as a luxury salt, used especially in haute cuisine.

The water is particularly rich in plant nutrients and in a total natural environment. This makes it a great attraction, especially for birds during their mating season. These eastern areas must be covered by the Trapani and Paceco Nature Reserve, protected by the WWF.
