Pesto alla Genovese
Pesto is a typical condiment, originating in Liguria. Ours was produced in Tuscany using basil from Genoa as its basic ingredient. The first recipe for pesto dates from the 19th century. In addition to the basil, we crush small amounts of garlic, nuts and pine nuts. The whole is spiced up with Grana Padano DOP, Pecorino and extra virgin olive oil.
